Pulmonary emergencies are life-threatening conditions that occur when a person has difficulty breathing normally. In severe cases, the patient may be unable to breathe at all. Such emergencies require immediate medical attention to prevent the failure of critical organs, such as the heart and brain. A broad range of different pulmonary emergencies is covered, from pneumothorax, pulmonary embolism, and right heart failure to acute exacerbations of diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The topic of pulmonary disease is designed to offer physicians a general understanding of what pulmonary disease is, how it's diagnosed and how it's managed in emergency situation.
This course also covers the entire relevant topic related to pulmonary emergencies like what to do in acute respiratory failure emergency, how should a patient with asthma be managed, how to do care for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) patient in an Emergency, how to handle a Patient with Non-cardiogenic Pulmonary Edema, management of life-threatening Hemoptysis, what should be the initial treatment for pulmonary embolism in an emergency situation, emergency management of Pleural Effusion, how to manage a case of pneumonia, emergency management of Mycobacterial Pulmonary Disease and how to manage a pneumothorax patient.
